Schneider Electric MPPT Disconnect RS
The MPPT Disconnect RS is an array DC disconnect, rapid shutdown device, and has arc fault protection for the solar array. It can be used with PV arrays at voltages up to 600 VDC, and will work with the Schneider XW-MPPT60-150 and XW-MPPT80-600 charge controls. It uses the RS Initiator, or other shutoff switch, to signal a rapid shutdown. This unit has a SunSpec rapid shutdown signal transmitter. When operating it sends out a signal over the PV power wiring to the SunSpec module level shutdown devices, such as the TS4-R-F or other similar devices, to keep them turned on. During a shut-down it will stop sending the stay alive signal, and the module devices will shut off.
This indoor unit is installed where the PV circuit connects to the charge control. It is a manual DC disconnect switch for the PV circuit. The RS-Initiator is installed outdoors where required by code, and is wired to the MPPT Disconnect RS unit. There is a Xanbus connection to the Schneider Conext devices in the network to signal the charge controls to turn off when there is a rapid shut down. A rapid shutdown does not open the manual DC disconnect, the circuit goes dead from the charge control and module devices shutting down. Because the rapid shutdown uses the Xanbus network this devices will not work with other charge controls.
The dimensions are 14.5"H x 8.7"W x 5.7"D, weight is 10 lbs and it is covered by a 5-year warranty.
