Our most popular package is now Rapid Shutdown compliant to reflect the latest changes to the National Electric Code! Additional rapid shutdown devices included in this system increase the level of safety, particularly for first responders or firefighters. These safety devices include the solar disconnecting combiner box, rapid shutdown shut off box, remote trip battery disconnect breaker, battery disconnect module, and Birdhouse from MidNite Solar.
The Magnum inverter is very powerful, but also very affordable. The 300Ah battery is a great place to start your battery, and you can add more capacity at a later time. This is not true with any lead acid battery bank. Overall, this package offers a lot of bang for your buck. If you have any questions about this system, please give us a call - we are happy to help!
Magnum has just launched a new version of the MagnaSine inverter that is perfect for grid-tie projects, where you don't want a smart meter. The inverter powers a subpanel, where the solar and battery help offset the loads on the subpanel during the day, and the grid automatically takes over at night. Contact us if you would like this option, as we need to use a different inverter than what is listed here. Our phone number is 720-432-6433.
The Freedom Package Includes a 24V, 300 Ah Nickel Iron battery, a 2.4 kW Solar Array, Magnum Inverter, a powerful MPPT charge controller, and all the hardware you would need for your own off-grid or residential battery backup system.
This system now includes the solar panel racking hardware for a roof mount solar array!
Solar - This system produces ~8 kWh of solar power each day or 250 kWh per month (exact figures vary depending on location).
Battery - The 300 Ah 24 Volt battery can store a total of 7200 Watt hrs or 7.2 kWh of energy.
Inverter - A very impressive 4,000 Watts of continuous output at 120 / 240 VAC. This is an off-grid inverter that can draw on any AC source to charge, but cannot feed back to the grid.
Charge Controller - The 80 Amp charge controller is ideally suited for the 2.2 kW solar array that comes with this package. We can easily parallel a second charge controller if you ever want to add more solar panels.
Roof Mount - Snap-n-Rack brand roof mount for the solar array. Ground mount or Top of Pole mount also available.
Grid Offset - 250kWh / mo
We can CUSTOMIZE any system - just ask!
A brighter future. Off the grid. Iron Edison battery systems can be used for 12, 24 and 48 volt applications. We can also help you optimize battery capacity to take better advantage of the solar, wind and other hardware you may already have in place.
