    12v Nickel Iron Batteries for Off-Grid Power Systems

    This is a complete off-grid power system.  

    The Nickel Iron (NiFe) battery lasts for decades and it loves to be working. The alkaline chemistry is resistant to over-discharge, freezing temperatures, and heavy use. It’s the best option for low-maintenance and large-scale renewable energy (RE) installations, where you’ll be able to maximize its charge efficiency. NiFe batteries provide a marked improvement in capacity and efficiency over lead-acid technology. They are also immensely tolerant to stresses like overcharging, discharging, and short-circuiting.

    Battery technologies have risen since Thomas Edison’s invention of the Nickel Iron battery, but none has matched many of its capabilities. While it’s not a dedicated battery for RE and other energy applications, users have been able to rely on its longevity and toughness.

    Iron Edison improved upon Edison’s original design and now provides an enhanced version of the Nickel Iron battery. If you require always-on energy storage for your off-grid power system that will only improve over time, NiFe batteries will provide the best value for your money.

    This unit provides all the features of a full-scale system in a small metal case!

    Inverter - The Magnum MS Series Inverter/Charger is commercial grade equipment.  This is a pure sine wave inverter with built-in battery charger.  This inverter has every feature seen in the larger models, all built into a single device.  The inverter's built-in charger takes AC from the grid (when available) and turns it into DC for battery charging.  

    Solar - This package includes a 340 Watt solar panel to generate up to 1000-1500 Watt-hours per day.  

    Solar DC Charge Controller - 30 Amp Solar PV Charge Controller is specifically designed for nickel iron batteries.  The solar charge controller is different than the inverter's charger.  The solar charge controller takes DC from the solar panels and steps it down into a DC battery.  

    Battery - 100 Amp Hour 12 Volt Nickel Iron (Ni-Fe) battery, 1.08 usable kWh capacity.

    Cables - all the battery cables, circuit breakers, and disconnects are included.
