What inverter is right for you? We are happy to help, just ask! With multiple inverters to choose from and each model type having their specific use, it can be tough deciding which is best. Below we have given some basic information on these inverters.
The Magnum MS Series Inverter is a 120 Volt sine wave inverter designed for the most demanding mobile and off-grid applications. The MS Series inverters are powerful, easy to use, and are available in 12-, 24- and 48-volt versions.
The Magnum MS-PAE Series Inverter offers 120 / 240 Volt AC output. Iron Edison recommends this inverter for most off-grid applications. It's an amazing inverter because it provides you with 120 / 240 AC power using a single inverter.
The Magnum MSH Series Inverter/Charger is a new pure sine wave hybrid inverter that combines the tried and tested engineering of Magnum's MS technology to make it an optimal choice for your mobile, renewable and back-up power needs. There are two lines available in MSH hybrid version - renewable energy (RE) and mobile. The mobile series has one 60A AC input, whereas the renewable energy version has two 60A AC input - one for the grid and the other for the generator.
The new MSH-M mobile models add a "Load Support" feature. Load Support allows incoming AC to synchronize with the inverter's output and uses additional power from the batteries to power loads. These have neutral ground switching and are intended to be used for land vehicles (RVs or trucks) or marine craft. The Renewable Energy (RE) model is intended to be used for residential or commercial applications.
The Magnum MSH-RE Series inverter can use the grid to supplement the renewable energy source to support the backed up electrical loads. This inverter is unique because it can synchronize the grid with the inverter's AC output. This inverter does not sell back to the grid, but is setup to offset electrical loads in your house - increasing your energy independence while decreasing your electric bill.
Check out the Magnum Mini Power Panel (https://ironedison.com/magnum-power-panel) that goes with the inverter. It's highly recommended to use the power panel / battery disconnect with your Magnum inverter. The warranty of the inverter is extended from 2 to 5 years when using a power panel!
120 Volt inverters should use the 60ampX1 Power Panel. 120/240v PAE inverters should use the 30ampX2 Power Panel
Power Factor Corrected (PFC) Charger: Magnum’s PFC charger is built into all of the MagnaSine Inverter / Chargers. It uses less energy from a generator than a standard charger – using 25-30% less AC current than standard chargers.
Easy-to-install (Pre-Wired kits are available - just ask!)
The MS Series is ETL Listed to UL/cUL 458 for mobile use and UL 1741 for off-grid installations.
Dimensions: 13.75 x 12.65 x 8 inches. 3-year warranty, except MS4024-PAE and MS4448-PAE which have a 2-year warranty.
